Saturday Autumn Term Nurture Session 10am-1pm

Our Nurture Sessions are for children aged 5 - 12 who love to spend time in the woods with their parent and for those that need the extra support and nurturing that the session can offer.

The woodland is a perfect setting to promote relaxation and ease anxiety and in turn will improve confidence and wellbeing.

The session is similar to a stay and play session and a parent will stay to play with and support their child.

The session will be within Camp Elder which has has a main camp area and lots of little places to make dens or play hide and seek. There are structures for the children to play and climb on and also trees to climb so parent supervision is required.

There will be a welcoming fire to make a drink and the Leader will cook a tasty snack on the fire.

Please bring a lunch as the session will run over lunchtime. You may eat lunch within the Marquee or around camp.

The sessions will run in 4 six weekly blocks over the year, with the first one starting in September (they will stop in the winter) They will be 10am until 1pm.

They will have planned activities that the children may or may not want to join in with.

​

All parents must supervise their children at all times, as the camp has high structures and rope bridges amongst other things. The leader will be there to supervise the fire, yoga or tool work etc.

The children can do activities such as:

Den Building

Tree Climbing

Cooking on the fire

making things with clay

Bug hunting

Feeding the hens

Visiting the ponies

Making Obstacle courses

Woodland yoga

and lots more

We will be offering the block of sessions to book initially. If we have any spaces left we will then offer the remaining sessions as single sessions.

The sessions will run for 6 Saturdays from Saturday 9th September. 10am until 1pm.

If you can't attend for some reason we may have a waiting list and be able to refund the session you can't attend.
